of perfect health. Andrew [Pickens Calhoun]

is taller, and larger than

yourself. He goes to school

in the Village, but rides

from home. I think of

sending him to West Point,

but have not determined.

Anna Maria [Calhoun] has also

grown much. She is

now at home, but has

been at a very good school

at Edgefield, to which

she will return in a few

weeks. She stays, when there,

with Mr. [Eldred ] Simkin[s]'s family. Pa-

trick [Calhoun] is slim, and fresh,

John and [Martha] Cornelia [Calhoun are] quite

stout, and your little name
