I am very far
from undervaluing
your correspondence.
Since my return from
Washington, nothing has
occurred , that could
give much interest to
a communication. Un-

seasons, fine crops of corn, &

good prospect of cotton
excepting, that it is rather
more backward than
usual, in consequence of
the remarkable late spring,
