plexion, blue eyes, and flaxen hair,

will do you no discredit. He

walks and talks.

Of deaths, I know of none in

the whole circle of our friends,

except the old Farmer, who

died last winter; nor do

I recollect any other marriage,

except Lucretia's, my brother

William's daughter to Dr. [Henry] Town[es]

of Greenville. There will,

however, soon be another.

Francis [Wilkinson] Pickens will be united

in October to Miss [Margaret] Eliza Simkins.

We will all be at the wed-

ding. His father [Andrew Pickens, Jr.] and sister Susan Calhoun Pickens]

are in from Alabama,

and so was Ezekiel Pickens

but has returned. The

union between Francis

and Eliza takes place
